Her hobbies are reading, rollerblading, and growing orchids. She is the proud mother of her son, Coleman and daughter Kennedy, and enjoys spending every spare moment with her family (including her dogs).
Biography
Dr. Katherine Diase is a native of Brownsville, TX. Her early interests in humankind and science led her to pursue a B.A. in anthropology and biology from the University of Notre Dame. She is a graduate of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, where she also met her husband, Dr. Mark Vital.
Her specialty training degree in obstetrics and gynecology is from the University of Texas Houston Hermann Hospital Program where she also served as Administrative Chief Resident.
As a practicing gynecologist since 2001, her interests are laparoscopic surgery, robotic assisted gynecologic surgery, and the Mona Lisa Touch laser therapy for improving vaginal health.
